Responsibilities also included regularly conferring with BTs, helping them to identify instructional resources, additional support and appropriate professional development in the school community as well as the district, helping BTs to develop and reflect on professional teaching goals using the Individual Learning Plan and the BPS Dimensions of Effective Teaching, maintaining and submitting documentation of work with new teachers, planning, participating in, and facilitating support and training activities for BTs, including the New Teacher Institute, monthly seminars, and exemplary teacher observations, participating in extensive professional development focused on skills and strategies that support new teacher development, partnering with school administrators/staff to enhance support for BTs, promoting the development of a professional learning community among new teachers in assigned schools, and actively contributing to the support of overall program goals by building personal leadership capacity and assuming leadership responsibilities.
